My Story

Born and raised in Petaluma, California, I spent much of my career in corporate management before joining my family's farm. It was there, while helping manage the business side of the operation, that I discovered how much I enjoyed bookkeeping and making sense of the financial side of the business.That experience inspired me to return to school to earn my bookkeeping certificate and start Squire Bookkeeping. For the past four years, I've been helping business owners keep their books organized, accurate, and ready for whatever comes next.My favorite part of bookkeeping is problem solving. I love hunting down why something isn't working, figuring out where the numbers went sideways, and putting everything back in order. I know bookkeeping isn't everyone's idea of fun, but I genuinely enjoy the puzzles that keep many business owners up at night. If your books are making you crazy, I'd love to help figure out why.

Can you come work in my office?
-I primarily work with clients remotely using QuickBooks Online. If needed, I'm happy to come to your office occasionally, especially during the onboarding process or for special projects. However, I no longer provide regular on-site bookkeeping services.What types of businesses do you work with?
-I've worked with a wide variety of businesses, from nonprofits and bakeries to mushroom farms, retailers, and eCommerce companies. While I specialize in eCommerce and nonprofit bookkeeping because they require specialized knowledge, I'm happy to work with businesses across many industries.Do you work with QuickBooks Desktop or other accounting software?
-I work exclusively with QuickBooks Online. If you're currently using QuickBooks Desktop, I have extensive experience transitioning businesses to QuickBooks Online and can help make the process as smooth as possible. If you're considering the switch, I'm happy to discuss the benefits and whether it's the right fit for your business.I'm behind on my bookkeeping. Can you help me get caught up?
-Absolutely! Catch-up bookkeeping is one of my specialties. I've helped clients get as much as five years of bookkeeping caught up. As long as your records are available, we can work together to bring your books up to date.Can you help with Shopify or Square?
-Yes! I regularly work with businesses that use Shopify and Square and can help ensure your sales, deposits, fees, and payouts are accurately recorded in QuickBooks Online. For more complex businesses, I also have experience working with third-party integrations and middleware to create workflows that go beyond the standard QuickBooks connectors.Do you offer consultation services?
-Yes... and no. I'm happy to answer questions, discuss bookkeeping needs, or help determine whether hiring a bookkeeper makes sense for your business. However, bookkeeping questions often uncover larger issues, and in those cases I usually recommend a more comprehensive cleanup or ongoing bookkeeping solution.Do you prepare tax returns?
-No. I specialize in bookkeeping, not tax preparation. I work closely with clients and, when requested, their CPA to ensure financial records are accurate, organized, and ready for tax season.
